Napa Valley is known for its wine, wealth, and natural beauty. these photographs tell a different story, a story that is playing out all across America: a tale of economic recession. In this series I use my home town, Napa California, as a microcosm to illustrate the vortex initiated by Wall Street's recklessness. I choose to focus my lens on the aftermath, environments that tell an ambiguous story of the people who once occupied that space. leaving it to the viewer to create the narrative of what came before. In the end these photographs are not about loss but rather a representation of our collective disillusionment with the American dream
